Kicking off 2026 with Purpose and Momentum!

The year is off to a fast and meaningful start at DHN Attorneys!

From being recognized again as one of Central Florida’s Largest Law Firms to bringing together lawmakers and community leaders over coffee, the momentum we’re seeing is rooted in trust and partnership.

We have always believed that our role goes beyond legal advice. It is about strengthening neighborhoods, supporting the professionals who serve them, and investing in the broader community we are proud to call home.

Here is a look at what we’ve been working on recently, and we are excited for what the rest of 2026 will bring. To stay up to date with our events, insights, and community involvement, be sure to follow us on LinkedIn and Instagram.

Through The Convo Association, we recently brought together board members, community managers, and industry partners for a candid conversation with Senator Carlos Guillermo Smith and Representative Anna V. Eskamani, PhD.

Our clients regularly navigate legislative changes that directly impact how they govern, budget, and serve their communities. Instead of just reading about those changes, we created space for real dialogue with the elected officials helping shape them.

We are grateful to both lawmakers for taking the time, especially before returning to Tallahassee for session, to share their insight and listen to the concerns of the people serving Central Florida’s neighborhoods every day.

CECO 25th Anniversary Night of Dreams

We were honored to support the 25th Anniversary Night of Dreams Gala benefiting Conductive Education Center of Orlando. DHN Attorneys proudly served as the Photo Experience Sponsor, capturing the smiles and special moments that made the evening so meaningful.

The event celebrated CECO’s ongoing commitment to empowering children and adults with neurological motor disabilities and highlighted the impact of The Pete and Lynn DiPasqua Student Scholarship Fund. It was an inspiring reminder of the life changing work happening in our community every day, and we are grateful to stand alongside an organization making such a profound difference.

SALT Pickleball Tournament

It may have been a chilly evening at Genesis Health Clubs Orlando Sportsplex, but the courts were full and the energy was high. We were proud to serve as a Dill Sponsor for the 1st Annual Pickleball Tournament benefiting SALT Outreach.

The event raised funds to support SALT Outreach’s work serving our unhoused neighbors, including the operation of a new shelter trailer. We are grateful to support organizations that are making a tangible difference right here in Central Florida.

Don Nguyen recently joined a career panel hosted by the Barry Women Lawyers Association, sharing practical advice on resume building, networking, developing your professional profile early, and learning to share your story.

DHN Attorneys was proud to sponsor a Picture Perfect Happy Hour with  Ball Janik. We love creating space for meaningful dialogue and bringing great people together. Thank you to everyone who joined us at Lamp & Shade and made the evening so memorable.

New Blog Post: Managing Records Requests the Right Way

Official records requests are one of the most common and misunderstood issues facing Florida associations. In our latest post, we break down three hard lessons boards should consider when responding under Chapters 720 and 718.

From adopting a clear written records policy, to understanding the limits of inspection rights, to documenting every step of compliance, structure and consistency make the difference between routine administration and unnecessary disputes.

If your board is navigating records requests or refining its procedures, this article offers practical guidance grounded in real world experience.
